Member Benefits
Why should you join our local Alumni Chapter?
Whether you're new to the area or you're a long time Kansas City based Penn Stater, there are several ways Chapter membership is beneficial.
Getting involved with the Chapter gives you a chance to meet a group of people you already share a common interest with. Whether you're looking for friends or professional connections, there are many waiting for you!
If you enjoy getting out, the Chapter offers several different events throughout the year to get together in different settings. We watch football games in the fall, have a banquet in the spring and sort food at Harvesters to name a few!
Participating in the yearly service project at Harvesters is a great way to get involved with the community. We've added a yearly service project at Cedar Cove Feline Sanctuary in Louisburg, Kansas to our roster of events this year and we make a yearly donation to Sunflower House, a local, non-residential child advocacy and abuse prevention center.
Give Back
Paying Chapter Dues offers you an easy way to give back to Penn State. Every year the Chapter makes a donation to THON and awards scholarships to students from the Kansas City area that attend Penn State.
With paying Chapter dues and attending Chapter events comes the opportunity to attend an away football game with the Chapter in the fall.
